Canberra Airport is the main airport that serves the Australian Capital Territory, it handles both domestic and is the primary hub of Brindabella Airlines. Visitors to the airport will notice that they have counters for all of the major car hire companies operating in Australia, such as: Hertz, Thrifty, Avis, Europcar and Budget.
With two runways, Canberra Airport is equipped to handle over 3 million passengers annually, with extensions and improvements in the works.
Where is it?
The airport is about 10 minutes away from Queanbeyan, though depending on traffic this can take longer. If you’re taking your car hire back to the depot for drop off, you can follow the eastern ring road on the Monaro Highway from the city centre. Please allow extra time in case of heavy traffic, so you can return your hire car and get checked into your flight home on time.

Which Cities Can You Get To Canberra Airport From?
You can fly to Canberra from the following cities: Brisbane, Newcastle, Tamworth, Adelaide, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Gold Coast and Hobart. Be aware that all flights flying to/from Albury will be ceasing 8th June 2012.
There are plans to include international routes in the future.
